MY TOOLS IN YOUR BOX: The Best Tools for Growing Indoor Plants
I recently published a list of all the tools I keep in my toolbox for plants. It’s a ‘TOYO Trunk Shape Toolbox T-350’ in Moss Green. I love it. I use this toolbox whether I am just working around the apartment or when I am out on jobs. And while the toolbox is fantastic, many of the tools inside come in very handy. So I thought I would take this opportunity to go a little deeper in detail about some of my favorites.

Dustpan and Wisk
It amazes me I went so long without one. I mean sure I have a vacuum, but who wants to run across the apartment, hands covered in dirt for a few bits of debris? Small, handheld, and ideally fairly flat, this is one tool that makes my job a lot easier.
Trash Bag (Heavy Duty) x2
While I find that I use them more when I am working on other people’s plants, I would be remissed if I didn’t mention them here. Particularly if you have a large or awkward plant you need to repot, a few trash bags laid out can make a huge difference when it comes to clean-up time.
Chopsticks and Short Dowls
Many of you by now know what a fan I am of good chopsticks. You can use them as makeshift moisture meters, root combs, plant props, and so much more! Honestly, these are one of my favorite and most used tools.
Apron
I often think it’s not worth the effort to put on. That I will just be quick. I am usually wrong. Never once have I regretted putting the apron on. Often, I have regretted not doing so.
