OUR HISTORY
How Dirty Roots Came to Life
Dirty Roots wasn’t created from a simple love of plants; it emerged from sheer frustration with the convoluted plant care world. The internet is cluttered with endless “must-do” lists that often lead to waste and harm—both to your plants and the planet. I wanted to change that.
I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of plants and art—think penjing, bonsai, and urban decay—where the beauty of nature meets the rawness of imperfection.
It wasn’t long before I channelled that passion into handcrafted sphere planters made of concrete and volcanic rock.
These planters combine the aesthetics of beauty and modern style with the art and freedom of self-expression, thus every sphere is handmade and unique.
Inspiration through art and nature guides the process of creating new models.
Designed to make plant care as easy as possible—eco-friendly, and minimal, these spheres allow plants to grow in their own unique, unforced way.
But Dirty Roots evolved beyond planters. It became a platform for my “Leave it the Fuck Alone” philosophy, fostering creativity and self-expression. Here, plants thrive without constant interference, and care is stress-free.
